At Broadview, we realize that school is different than it used to be. Students have been forced into virtual and hybrid learning models that cause gaps in learning and skill deficits. Teachers are overwhelmed with meeting the unique needs of all students. IEP goals and objectives are being neglected, and concerned parents are searching for support.
Broadview has a solution. We now offer 1:1 direct specialized instruction in reading, writing, and math provided by Connecticut certified special education teachers on-site or online. Our specialty is working with students with Individualized Education Plans with measurable goals and objectives. We offer specialists that are both Orton Gillingham and Wilson reading certified to provide the empirically-based reading instruction that your child needs at critical points of reading development. All of our teachers are experienced in the classroom, and understand that personalized attention is the best way to help your child.
Lessons are tailored to the unique needs of each child. We offer the opportunity to directly implement an IEP in a comfortable, private setting without the distractions of a traditional classroom that may pull teachers away from your child. This model allows for instruction and immediate feedback in real-time, which helps build relationships and foster learning. Broadview provides the 1:1 direct instruction that your child needs and schools cannot provide. We know because our providers have combined decades of experience working with public and private schools across all grade levels.
Students who are appropriate for this service may be eligible for special education, Section 504, or simply experiencing learning challenges or skill deficits. We work with elementary school students, middle schoolers, high schoolers, or college-aged individuals. Our providers can follow predetermined school-based plans and implement accommodations in this learning environment, or base a tailored Broadview Learning Plan on screening or standardized assessment. We review available documentation of an individual’s needs when it exists, or can guide instruction through our assessment tools. Ultimately, we offer the direct instruction you are seeking for your child, without the obstacles put in place by the bureaucracy of a school system.
