Erica Forselius, LPC is a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a background as a school counselor working in public schools in the State of Connecticut since 2010, and has been working in private practice since 2016. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s degree in counseling from Southern Connecticut State University. At Yale Psychiatry, Erica conducted research and supported intervention focusing on substance abuse and sleep. Her expertise is across a wide-array of topics, including adolescent anxiety and depression, co-parenting counseling, managing stress and adolescent self-esteem, effective communication within families, crisis/trauma, anger management, children of divorce, behavioral management, LGBQT, and grief counseling. Her counseling orientation is Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients feel empowered and guide them to a successful and happy life. As a counselor, Erica’s dedication to the needs of her students and volunteer activities at Sheehan High School recently earned her Teacher of the Year status.
