Kat is devoted to offering a warm, compassionate, and client-centered counseling experience—here, she helps individuals build self-awareness, find healing, and move toward meaningful growth.

 

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Global Communications and Spanish Literature from Roger Williams University, and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sacred Heart University. For over ten years, Kat has worked as a Registered Behavior Therapist, supporting children, teens, and young adults on the autism spectrum.

 

In addition to her private practice, Kat serves as an Anti-Trafficking Clinician at the Center for Family Justice. There, she provides trauma-informed mental health support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. She also brings extensive cross-cultural experience working with Spanish and Portuguese speakers coping with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and various social-emotional and behavioral challenges.

 

Kat's approach is integrative and evidence-based. She draws from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, compassion-focused therapy, and narrative practices to tailor care to each person’s needs. She’s committed to nurturing empathy, cultivating compassion, and encouraging self-reflection—so clients feel empowered on their path toward healing and self-discovery
